philip-carneiro's complete cycling recipe: 4K/25fps, custom full-sensor-width aspect ratio (reframe headroom in post), RockSteady, Natural white outdoors / Standard indoors, Pro mode + manual exposure, 1/200 shutter fixed (180-degree-shutter-rule does not apply — see action-cam-shutter-exception), ISO 100-6400, EV −0.3 against clipping, D-Log M 10-bit with color recovery on, f/2.6 (f/4 in bright sun), noise reduction and texture both turned down because the zeroed defaults "look too digital."

Accessories in buy order: ND filters (16 and 32 most used) → mouth mount (POV immersion, both hands on the bars, stows in a jersey) → microphone (DJI Mic 2, ~50 bucks, clipped to bib shorts for wind noise). A cage has saved it from falls; a magic arm gives clamp-anywhere angles; a small LED compensates for weak low-light performance.

The limit he keeps naming: "the action cam is very nice, but it's limited in the image quality" — grade effects (halation, sharpen, grain) have to be applied per-clip, not as a preset. Compare dji-osmo-pocket-4p, the gimbal alternative.
