Mitchell Hashimoto

Founder of HashiCorp and author of the Ghostty terminal. In 2026 he announced a company for terminal multiplexing, said to be built with hand-written code and no AI (Omer doubts that will hold), and shared demos of smooth panes, fuzzy pickers and curved edges with auto-tiling. omer-hamerman points out that tuios already ships much of that. dhh quoted him at Rails World 2026: "the pursuit of excellence does not need justification."
